License for model files
Unless a model page says otherwise, every file you download from sortrs, free or paid, is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). That means you may:
- Download, print, and use the models for yourself, your home, your classroom, or your makerspace, in any quantity.
- Modify and remix the models, and share your versions, as long as you credit sortrs and release them under the same license.
And you may not:
- Sell the files, or sell printed copies of the models, or include them in a product you sell.
- Redistribute the files without attribution, or under a different license.
Free models and tips
Models marked Free cost nothing and need no account. Their files are delivered when you check out. A tip is voluntary and changes nothing about the files or the license. If a model has a price, its delivery and refund terms are shown before you pay.
Accounts
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us through the contact page if you think someone else is using it.
No warranty
The models are provided as-is. 3D printing results depend on your printer, material, slicer, and settings, and we can't guarantee that a given file will print or fit in your situation. Printed parts are not tested for food contact, load bearing, or use by small children.
Using the site
Please don't use automated tools to bulk-download files or to scrape the site, and don't try to interfere with its operation. See the privacy policy for what the site collects.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Files you downloaded under an earlier license stay licensed under those terms.
